What Could Be Bad About Ninja Fundamentalists?

I’ve been a bit queasy since JoJo asked me that question shortly after sending me the link to an article about Christian ministries that use Mixed Martial Arts as an evangelical tool.   Some ministries screen UFC events; others actually engage in bloodsport. Churches may now be one-stop hate crime training facilities.

The article reports on Xtreme Ministries (“Where feet, fists, and faith collide”) and Canyon Creek Church (whose website is currently advertising a sermon series called “David: The Ultimate Fighter” with an image of a shirtless guy in a fighting stance.)

From the Times:

The outreach is part of a larger and more longstanding effort on the part of some ministers who fear that their churches have become too feminized, promoting kindness and compassion at the expense of strength and responsibility.

Why bother with “feminized”? Let’s call a spade a spade; the modern Church is a mincing faggot.
With its “kindness” this and “don’t elbow a guy in the throat until he spits up his Adam’s apple” that, there’s just no way the typical Christian ministry’s gospel message can resonate. Hallelujah.

I bet the sermons involve a lot of yelling.

or 1-stop crime training facilities, as it were.
