The following is excerpted from an email I just received (commentary added):

We’re digging deep into the iTunes archives, bringing you amazing collections of great songs from artists like Michael Jackson (and it’s one), Journey (two), Lynyrd Skynyrd (three strikes you’re out at the ooooold baaaaall gaaaaame), and more.

Oh man, I know what you mean. Netflix used to be uncanny in its ability to gauge what I might like, but recently, ever since they put their new algorithm into effect actually, it has been giving me the most bogus recommendations.

JoJo, I am having a difficult time resisting the temptation to state explicitly what those algorithms would say about me or my co-blogger.

Jonathan, I find Amazon’s similar feature to be uncannily accurate. More often than not, Amazon suggests books and music that I already own and love. I want Bezos out of my head.
