Maybe if Kramer Had Enlisted…

CNN, the most trusted name in cable news, has posted an article about Festivus on its website.  And not just in the news of the weird section; it’s the lead fucking article.  Look!

Festivus is the holiday celebrated by the Costanza family on 90s sitcom Seinfeld.  It involves a metal pole, feats of strength, and the airing of grievances.  Apparently, some people have adopted the Costanza tradition and the hard-hitting reportage for which CNN is known has been brought to bear on this cultural landslide.  It’s a well-deserved tribute to a nascent tradition that may be with us for thousands of years.

We are in two wars and a recession; anthropogenic climate change threatens the biosphere, and the future of healthcare is in the hands of a feeble Senate.

We are in two wars.

We are in wars.
