Where We’re From, the Birds Sing a Pretty Song and There’s Always Music in the Air
If you’ve never watched Twin Peaks, do yourself a favor. The series only ran for a season and a half, maybe because it was too good for network television. I don’t even know what that means, but I do know that the lion’s share of the show -the episodes focused on the investigation of Laura Palmer’s murder- is dark, funny, tense, and mysterious. Something like Donnie Darko meets the X Files.
The show loses its steam for several episodes in the second season, but redeems itself by its conclusion.
