Or at least it won’t kill you if what you don’t know happens to be one of the fictional toxins listed on Wikipedia’s List of Fictional Toxins. Iocane powder from The Princess Bride? Check. Dip from Who Framed Roger Rabbit? Check. From the Powerpuff Girls to 24, this list can answer all of your fictional toxicological questions.

Enjoy, and don’t say Is It Luck never did anything for you.

bob hoskins- the detective in roger rabbit- played ‘iago’ in the bbc version of ‘othello’ wherein anthony hopkins, the noted african-american actor, played ‘othello.’ iago’s always going on about poison and such, and since they knew very little pharmacology back then, i contend that shakespearean poisons are quasi-fictional. so score another for bob hoskins.

also, in the episode where homer and lisa feel estranged and homer and lisa visit a new-age drug store in which the sensory deprivation tank ultimately triggers in lisa a transcendental empathic understanding of homer, the name of the new age drug store where they keep the sensory deprivation tanks was ‘karma-ceuticals’. so if you’re making a list of fictional medicines, etc.
