Wilco (the Album)

With their new album due out in June, Wilco has begun to stream the entire record for free on their website. It’s their way of discouraging illegal downloads while still giving the fans what they want. It’s nice.

The band respectfully encourages those who download the record illegally to “make a donation to the Inspiration Corporation — an organization we’ve supported in the past & who are doing great work in the city of Chicago. Information and donation button here: http://inspirationcorp.org/.”

I like to believe that Lars Ullrich and James Hetfield are out there somewhere thinking about what dicks they are.

President Obama is dressed funny in that photo. He looks really cool in a suit. Not so much in that photo.

Metallica is a piece of shit band. End of story.

Sad but true on both counts.

i don’t know. when i was 15-16, i thought master of puppets and ride the lightning were pretty fucking awesome. i haven’t listened in ages, so i don’t know what i’d think now (i’ve disowned many of my tastes from back then), but i think i’d still appreciate them.

    1. I don’t hear any music on the wilco site.
    2. Despite their current douchbaggery, Master of Puppets and Ride the Lightning STILL rock.

Obama looks a little bit like he is blocking Wilco’s egress intentionally and/or asking (once) for their lunch money.
